Wowsers! What a weekend! Going to Paulie’s party was one of the bestest things I have ever done. Seriously, that was so awesome. It is a long story to tell and it would take WAY too long to tell everything, so I will give you the shortened version of it, which in itself is pretty long too!
We left our house about 6:30pm. A little later than I wanted, but oh well. Dad rented a little Kia Sportage, because it would get better gas mileage than our 15 passenger van… I am really glad we took it, read more. So we were doing great. Making pretty decent time and such. I had forgotten to print off the mapquest direction, and we forgot the atlas. DOI! But it is pretty easy to get to TN, so we weren’t worried. We would just get one at a gas station or wherever.
So we are driving; we stopped in KY for gas and dinner at around 10pm, I think. We were already half way there! We leave and continue driving about 12am, we pass Knoxville and tell Paulie we would be there in a couple hours… well… so we thought. Instead of going towards Bristol, we take a little jog towards Ashville… BIG WHOOPS!
If I never go down 40 to Ashville again, I will be very happy. I don’t know if any of you have been that way before, but it is horrible when your dad is going around these really, really, sharp curves at about 95mph! Scared the living out of me! Seriously, I think there are holes in the armrests of that vehicle.
I am usually not worried or scared to drive because I love it, but I was really worried we would flip or go off on of the bridges! AH! Hence, I am glad we took this SUV, because if we had taken the van, we would have flipped.
Anyway, we took a long detour towards Ashville, then we finally found an exit to get off and headed back towards 81. Paulie called me at 2am when we should have been at his house, to see where we were as I was experiencing the above mentioned state of anxiety. The way back to 81 was ok. After we got on 81, it was a piece of cake to get to their house. I remembered where it was from going there back in Oct.
We finally get to their house about 4am… Paulie and Levi were the only ones up. We unload the bags, put Dad to bed on the couch, and Paulie let me use his computer to check some things.
Paulie and Levi were practice playing the game, Unreal Tournament for Friday nite. (pictures 1-3 on slideshow) Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to bring the laptop because we had to have it repaired. Ugh… We went to bed about 5:30am.
Dad, Rachel and I woke up about 9:50am, went downstairs to get dressed and such, and then Paulie, Luke and Levi got up. Everyone got dressed and then Levi made coffee. Then I had the boys open their gifts. Jocelyn made all three of them some really neat things… She did like the way her Sewing Endeavor went, but the boys sure did!
Last Oct, I found this hilarious card that sings some stupid 90’s song, well I bought it for Paulie for his birthday… he thought that thing was hysterical. It was really funny! lol… (pictures 4 & 5 on slideshow) After we opened those it was time to get things ready for the party.
I helped with Sani and some of the food preparations. Then Uncle Paul needed to run to the store and he took Dad and Paulie with him. They were gone for awhile then came back and had to leave again. It was now about 3pm and there would be guest coming at 4pm… So I got Sani to sleep and made sure everything was in order and put up Paulie’s blog party!
Then Timothy, John Mark and Jaime got there and played outside on the skaterboard til Paulie got back. Finally Dad, Uncle Paul and Paulie got back and then everything was just a big whirlwind. So the whirlwind was: going outside, playing frisbee, football, skaterboard, and I think John Mark and Jaime compared their shoes? Is that what they were doing, Timothy?
The Gonzalez’s got there, and everyone played outside for a bit more, then dinner was finished and it was time to come in. We ate, then about 9:30pm, we all went downstairs to game on the computer.
We didn’t end up gaming til about 11pm for a couple of reasons, first, we had to set up the network, then Paulie would set something up and go skaterboard, then come back set something else up and go skaterboard. So finally at about 11pm, everything was set up and they finally started to game. Paulie had asked me to play, but since I had never played in my entire life, I just watched for the first game. Luckily, they only played the one when I was done there. haha… when they were finished with that game, they were going to play a different one, but couldn’t get it to work… they kept trying.
Finally about 12:30am, John Mark just put a movie in and everyone gave up on the games for awhile. I wasn’t able to watch the whole movie, because it was getting late and I had to be up early. So reluctantly, I went upstairs to bed.
Saturday was so beautiful. I woke up to the sun and guns! lol… I could hear the guns from the computer games downstairs at 8:30 in the morning. Needless to say, I didn’t go back to bed. Got up and went in the kitchen to help clean up. We didn’t do it on Friday nite. Then… I kinda got kicked out of the kitchen because everyone wanted to help and I couldn’t do anything, so I went and got dressed.
When I was done, I came out and stood in the kitchen, got some coffee and talked. Timothy, Paulie, Jaime, Levi and Dylan stayed up all night… I think Paulie was falling asleep on the couch because then he just disappeared and breakfast was served.
The kids all ate on the back porch and talked… when we were done, no one could decide what we should do, so Veronica and I decided to play some cards upstairs.
We played a game I had never even heard of. It was so fun. I won the first game. lol. I really liked that game. Timothy was sitting next to me and kept giving me the same cards. Finally I told him not to trade with me anymore. lol! After Pit, we played Uno. I haven’t played that for a long time. It was fun though.
After awhile, I went downstairs to see if I should make the cake, but I did the dishes and cleaned up the kitchen instead. By the time I was done, everyone wanted to go outside. So we went outside and threw the frisbee around. It was fun til we went to the thorn field. My legs got all cut up… so we decided not to play anymore over there.
We then went in the house and played more Uno… by this time Paulie was up. That Uno game was one of the funnest things ever. First game, I was sitting between Daniel and Timothy and they both wanted to cream me. Then they switched sides and still wanted to cream me. Then the third game, Paulie wanted to sit by me to cream me, so he switched with Timothy and I switched with Caroline. Lol… Paulie was going to kill me with his cards.
I was so glad I moved because he kept picking up draw 2/4 cards and I was far enough away that I was safe. I was sitting across from Timothy and we were helping each other cream Paulie. It was so fun. We weren’t able to finish our game because it was dinner time and then we all went outside to play more.
In the middle of frisbee Auntie wanted me to make the cake. So I came in and did that. I was doing really good til it got late and everyone wanted to leave. So we didn’t have time to let the cakes cool, and some of it stuck to the pans. Then we were going to flip one of the cakes on the other, but Jessica and I couldn’t get it, so we just left them side by side. So we frosted them and decorated them.
There was a big secret that Paulie didn’t know about. I had printed off a Tux and took it to the bakery to see if they could give me some edible paper with him on it because I had tried to make a Tux with frosting and there was no way it was going to work. So I was just going to see what the bakery could do. Well they took my printed picture and scanned it into their computer and printed the image onto some edible paper. It was amazing! That was about the only good thing about the cake.
Everyone thought the cake was awesome, but I wasn’t so optimistic. I knew I could have done better if I had more time… but I didn’t. I am glad that everyone liked it. After everyone had cake they had to leave. So we said goodbyes and then sat on the couches and talked. Everyone went to bed about 12:30am.
So anyway… that is the short of the weekend. It was such an amazing weekend. I am so excited I got to be a part of it! It was so great seeing the Gonzalez’s, Estabrooks, and the Sensenigs. It had been over a year since I had seen them. I also got to meet the Baughn’s.
Timothy posted about the party too… He has some really good pictures. I am waiting for Paulie to post. Alrighty… well… I hope you enjoyed that. You can watch the slideshow. I uploaded the good pictures to it.
Anyway… enjoy!
Take care and have a SUPER week!

Haha, you’re description is much more thorough than mine. I think I’ll link to it.
Dylan actually didn’t quite stay up all night. He fell asleep towards the end.
Lol, I didn’t know we woke you up with our shooting. You should have come down and complained.
And I have no idea what JM and Jaime were doing. Comparing shoes is a good guess, though.

Actually I stayed up until 7. Me and Luke both. ‘Cept Luke wouldn’t stop talking. It was Levi that ONLY stayed up till 3. So yeah, I think that qualifies as a all-nighter. I went to bed when the sun was up.
You quit frisbee because your legs got all cut up? Really? I thought it was cause Dylianos almost took your head off with the frisbee. Hmm, maybe not.
Yeah, that was pretty fun. I might post about it.
