I feel so repetitive because every week I say how much I LOVE the Homeschool Memoirs Theme, but I really do! And this week is one of my favorites: The _____ Family

This week’s theme is about your family. Don’t worry. I’m not going to make you write a long essay about all the great things your family does. Just something little diddy that I know everyone will have fun with!
Watch the youtube video below and then take this song and add your own words, about your family. The end of the first three lines should rhyme. Can’t wait to see what you come up with!

So if you don’t already know this… I CANNOT rhyme! Yeah, I may be able to write journalistic type articles, but poetry and fiction is not my thing! But I gave it a whirl and here is what I came up with!

We’re always with each other
Father, sister, mother,
And don’t forget brother
A SUPER family

We learn about computers
We don’t need any tutors
But we are still recruiters
A SUPER family

I drive a passenger bus
And learn about its thrusts
With dad along to discuss
A SUPER family

{Clever}
{Forever}
{Whatever}

We excel at writing
You’ll never see us fighting
We’re all together uniting
A SUPER family

We get our education
By having conversation
Then comes graduation
A SUPER family

We serve a mighty god
With him there is no facade
Some people say were odd
A SUPER family

Yeah, lame I know, but I tried! :P I did have a lot of fun doing this though and now I am going off to read some of the other HM participants rhymes! I saw a few and they are really good! :)

    That had me rotfl LOL Great job! You did rhyme through the whole thing! I’m so bad at rhyming that I’m not even going to attempt it, but I should go and see the other cute one’s people are putting up!

    LOL I used to think football was really boring, but Sunday football is all that is on our television when my father is awake on Sundays, so it’s grown on me! When I was little any team my dad liked was my favorite team! LOL

    You did a great job, not lame at all. I Googled rhymes and found a good site to help me with the words – maybe that was cheating but Jocelyn didn’t say we couldn’t. :roll: :lol:

    I’m sure enjoying this assignment quite a bit, especially trying to visit as many blogs as possible to see what everyone else has come up with. These are all great, the creative juices are really flowing.
