I have to say, I’m truly blessed with wonderful friends! I honestly am so thankful for everyone that God has brought into my life that I call a friend.
We had the Seven Sisters and Family over a couple weeks ago and we had a superbly wonderful time. We ate, laughed, danced, laughed, danced and laughed more! Just a really great time!
I got some videos of the dances and *shockingly* they are blog material!
So here is the Dixon Chicks and Dudes doing the Virginia Reel with the Seven Sisters.
Despite Cal-Eb’s size, everyone agrees he’s THE best VR partner. He knows the steps so well and its so fun to dance with him.
He cracks me up!
It was even more wonderful to dance with the Seven Sisters than just ourselves AND we had live violin music courtesy of Leah! We had such a terrific time!
Anyway, we had a really great time and I hope we can do it again soon! Anyone else want to join in? haha!

Ok, after sitting and watching it and getting to watch it!
I have to say a few more things:
I loved how Anna picked up Lucy and danced with her on her hip. So sweet!
I LOVE Leah playing her Violin!
And… I love how you all are all different ages and sizes and you all worked together.
It was great!
[Oh, and the part where Caleb slipped on his sock-feet and fell down on his bum was cute too]
Dinner was wonderful. It was fun to share a Shabbat meal with some good friends. I SO enjoyed sitting down with Mrs. R and talking. What a blessing. I am so glad we had them over, and I wished we lived so much closer!!
Thank you to the Farm Girls and family!!
We love you all!

That looks like so much fun and very easy to learn, though likely a little overwhelming at first. You did have quite the dance partner there!

Lucy with her blankie is ADORABLE! Okay, I have GOT to learn how to do the Virginia Reel. But alas, who in the world would I dance with? David and the boys… we don’t exactly make up a crowd– assuming David would dare join in… Austin and Noah? They can’t resist joining in laughter and movement.

PRICELESS! Thank you for sharing. If the moms and dads would join in I would apply Jer.31:13. Such a blessing for all ages to be together. Those were really good dancers. This is one way of exalting our YHVH. I am looking forward to seeing you do Jewish dances. I thought this video was terrific!

Looks like fun! I don’t know that I’ve ever done the Virginia Reel. The Electric Slide maybe…
Dancing is fun. Nathaniel’s been to a Scottish Kaylee (not sure of the spelling) where they did all kinds of folk dances. I want to someday!
