Looking At Doors

Published in I'm Photogenic, Me Myself and I, Reflections of a 20 year old, Too True

When one door of happiness closes, another opens; but often we look so long at the closed door that we do not see the one which has been opened for us.” ~ Helen Keller

I pray that I will see the other doors God opens for me and that I don’t just stand there staring at ones He shut for my benefit. Even if they aren’t ones I wanted shut. I know everything He does is for my good, because He loves me and wants my life to be a good one full of His will.

i think i would rather have these definite no’s or not-this-way than having to make decisions on my own. because most likely, i will choose that wrong door! God in His infinite wisdom knows the desires of my heart, even better than i do!

oh absolutely! me too. I wish when a door closed, it would set off a siren or something with a flashing light: “door now closed!” but I know that He will lead and show me that and will show me the open door too, if I let Him. And I just gotta let Him show me, instead of holding on to that closed door handle…

Yeah Sister. That is so true. I can see, as we are walking even right now, that things are ever-changing. I can see already how things we were anticipating and willing to walk through just a month ago have become closed doors to us.
I think our willingness to allow him to be the leader is a big step in what doors are closed and which are left open.
I also think it is brilliant to recognize that if he closes a door, then it is for your benefit.
Praise Yah for this understanding he has given to you.
You know, we can always fight and kick the door open, and most times, he will then allow us to walk through that door. But, OH will we be miserable in the end!!

HE has it all worked out. I pray you will be faithful and trust in him and all his ways so that the proper doors will be opened to you and you will see them for what they are.

SHALOM to you in your heart and your thoughts.

    Love You!!!

Oh, and yes, I agree with Hannah: I love that pic of the barn. I can almost feel the warmth of a Spring day with the wet, squishy feeling under my feet…. the tree almost ready to bloom…
ahhhh…. I sure do love this place.
YAHVEH must have somewhere incredible for us to compare to this place!

The work will all be done it just takes time. Don’t burn out working too hard. ;)

It’s a blessing to me and many others to see young people (such as your family) pursuing their convictions and living lives in pursuit of God.
