I was singing Amazing Grace to Samuel last night and he was just staring at me and actually smiled once.
It got me to thinking… what a simple thing to we need to always remember: His Amazing Grace!
Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound,
That saved a wretch like me.
I once was lost but now am found,
Was blind, but now I see.
T’was Grace that taught my heart to fear.
And Grace, my fears relieved.
How precious did that Grace appear
The hour I first believed.
Through many dangers, toils and snares
I have already come;
‘Tis Grace that brought me safe thus far
and Grace will lead me home.
The Lord has promised good to me.
His word my hope secures.
He will my shield and portion be,
As long as life endures.
Yea, when this flesh and heart shall fail,
And mortal life shall cease,
I shall possess within the veil,
A life of joy and peace.
When we’ve been here ten thousand years
Bright shining as the sun.
We’ve no less days to sing God’s praise
Than when we’ve first begun.
Every time I sing this hymn, I get a new sense of awe and gratefulness for my Savior who continually gives me his amazing grace when I so don’t deserve it.
Psalms 31:21
“Blessed be ADONAI! For he has shown me his amazing grace when I was in a city under siege.“
I am the wretch the song refers to and I have and will continue to receive His amazing grace because He loves me. Wow!

That is a great post! Your right, we do need to remember God’s grace, and not take it for granted.

LOVE that hymn…any time I sing it I remember playing it with Sarah at your house. What fun (and what aweful guitar playing I did! lol)…slapping blood-suckers in the middle of chords is always to be remembered.
Hahaha! Hopefully we can do it again soon…btw, I also love Amazing Grace- My Chains are Gone. I play that one a lot better. =P lol!
Hugs to you…have a wonderful Shabbat!!

A favourite of mine. You know I must have sang this song a hundred times a week when Caleb had influenza for those 8 weeks. He just wanted to hear it over and over…
It has a special place in my heart. It reminds me of Yahweh’s keeping power and faithfulness to us, even though we are wretches…
I’ll not soon forget when Toria and Sarah played together. It was beautiful. It would be wonderful if that could happen again. May Yahweh bless each of them!
Love you Amanda!

That was very beautiful. You have to remember that God loves you.He forgives your sins and remembers them no more. You belong to God and Satan is very jealous, and he will do everything in his power to make you turn away from God.
