We didn’t eat marshmallows this time because they have pork in them… eww! but its definitely “fluffier” with them in it. I am trying to figure out a way to use marshmallow creme in it, but haven’t been able to yet.
Love all the flavors in this. A perfect mix of tangy and sweet! ![]()

Yum! I’ve also decided not to consume pork or any other biblically unclean meat, but was not aware that marshmellow creme didn’t have any pork in it? I guess I just haven’t ever looked at the ingredient list because I know real marshmellows have gelatin in them which is a mixture of all kinds of gross things lol.
I hope your Shabbat went well!
Blessings and love,
Paulina

yeah the creme doesn’t have the pork in it cause it doesn’t use gelatin.
a lot of things we eat have nasty stuff in them that no one would imagine!

You could try it with vegan marshmellows. I used to be a vegan for a little while (lol) and I loved vegan mellows. They are a bit pricey that is the only problem, but it’s worth a shot.

I’ve only seen the Kosher marshmallows in the spring–”passover” and “Easter” time. The good thing is, marshmallows freeze well

I, too, was unaware that marshmallows had PORK in them…we hardly ever eat them so I had never checked. I second the “eww!”

You know, you could probably just use 3 cups of marshmallow creme, instead, and fold it into the mixture with a spatula. Do you think that would work?

I tried freezing the creme so I could then cut it into pieces, but it didn’t work and I really didn’t want to mess with mixing it up in the bowl.

Just make your own marshmallows. You usually still do have to use gelatin (or eggs, I think they replace the gelatin in some recipes…I THINK) but there are good brands out there and making the homemade stuff is healthier and tastes better!
