I’ve been inside a lot this month because its been so cold lately!
so for The Homestead Carnival we’re staying inside the house.
Now… we’ll start in my favorite room… the kitchen! I love food and there are a lot of great recipes to make!
Miss Rachel of A City On A Hill has a Delicious Guacamole Dip for a quick lunch or to eat with beans and rice or any other Mexican dish.
Katie of OC Mom’s Activity Guide shares her Easy Gourmet BBQ Chicken Pizza.
Tiffany Holley of As For My House made Better Bread for us to enjoy.
Abi of lighter side made some Salted Nut Rolls to enjoy this fall.
Kiva, Farmstead Lady of Views from the Farmstead realized that Second isn’t always second and how she made some wonderful treats out of seconds.
Grandma Rosie the Texas Rose went to The State Fair of Texas and ate some really great foods… and wanted you to too!
The kitchen is also great for making other things like Jocelyn of A Pondering Heart made mousse and hairspray – homemade style in here in an effort to be more all naturale.
Penny Raine has a remedy for sticky salt that won’t pour out of the shaker from the humidity.
Aparna of Beauty & Personality Grooming found the Calcium for strong, healthy bones and teeth that you need in the kitchen. We never really outgrow our need for plenty of calcium.Calcium is important for you, no matter what your age or sex. Make sure to take magnesium with it too to help distribute it properly.
From the kitchen, we can head to the family room, where Feelin’ Feminine created some beautiful Heirloom Pillow Cases for you to make and put in your hope chest or on your pillow.
There HappyApple encourages us to go Camping in Psalm 19. Such encouragement from that Psalm!
Sprittibee reminds us to Stopping to Smell the Flowers and seize the day because we don’t know how long we’ll have!
Lara DeHaven the Texas Homesteader tells us the tale of Jemima Puddleduck in Beatrix Potter Style.
Michelle Fox of Homeschooling and Homesteading in the Present who had A Few Good….Chickens tells us how proud they are that their children were eating clean chicken with no antibiotics, no hormones, not cooped up in a teeny, tiny cage, just purely farm raise. Definitely something to be proud of!
Finally, something to ponder… Jacque of Walking Therein answers the Robin Sampson’s question: Should Christians Observe Halloween? with Halloween at Our Home.
I’m still hoping that it will warm up this month… maybe a fool’s hope, but I won’t give it up. ![]()
