Think that I can take this fabric and turn it into that apron?
I mean I made this (those are both sides of the same bag):
And this (like my starbursts? they are my own design):
I made both of those when I was 15, but that was almost 5 years and I really haven’t sewn anything since besides a few mending projects. Among my many abilities, sewing is definitely not on the “I can do well” list. lol!
SO I hope this apron that I am going to attempt to make will tune out ok… its harder than making my quilt because its not just squares I’m cutting and sewing together.
Think I can do it? :S

Oh, Amanda! You’ve made my day! I often feel bad for not being able to sew very well…it’s been a while since I’ve done any sewing.
Don’t take this the wrong way, but when I see a girl with hopes of being a homemaker and such, like me, that can’t sew magnificently I don’t feel so lonely. However, I do want to get better and will at some point. I’m sure you can do anything as long as you stick to it.

of course you can!
make sure when you lay out the front part of the apron that your “S” is centered . . . or whatever you want it to look like. may need to lay the pattern out differently on the fabric than what is planned . . . but you CAN do it
can’t WAIT to see pics when you are finished . . .
HUGS!

Awesome! I haven’t done much sewing in years because my machine was broken until the past month. Now that it is fixed I have cranked out a bunch of skirts–and I actually attempted an apron as well! I wasn’t as smart as you–I didn’t use a pattern, or really measure, or even follow any instructions…amazingly it turned out quite well though! So you can def. do it WITH a pattern. LOL!

LOL!!!! I got that same fabric!!!!! They were selling all the fabric at our walmart when they were closing the fabric section :***-( and so I bought what was left of it. I thought of you right away.
I mean, how awesome is that? Superman, pink, and RED ROSES!!!!!!! GMTA!!! I’m still not sure what I’m going to do with mine…
And you can do it! That apron pattern doesn’t look very hard. I have FAITH in you!!!
Love ya!!!

You can do it – I have not doubts!!! I am not the greatest seamstress either … in fact I tend to get really stressed whenever I sew … so I know how it is, for sewing to be a little bit intimidating.
To the KING be all the glory!

Before I’ve only sewed like three different things. I will be the first to admit that all of those were not done well at all. So, you can imagine how much I started getting really worried when I heard that I was going to have to sew my little sisters flower girl dress. The pattern was/is not an easy pattern and I thought I would never be able to make it. But after almost crying over it I just jumped ahead and did it, and was so surprised when I saw that by just reading the steps really carefully (1000 times each
) I could do it. YAY!!

It looks really cute now and I can’t wait to sew something else
I’m sure you will do fine with the apron!! Can’t wait to see it finished!
Love and hugs,
