This week has been working from sun up to sun down! There is so much to do still and I hope we can finish everything in time!
One thing I can check off the list to do is MY ROOM!
I got it done. I am so happy! Tuesday after going to the grocery store and such, I went upstairs and tore the rest of my room apart and moved most of the stuff out. Can’t believe how big a room REALLY is when there isn’t anything in it.
Here are the walls all wiped down and ready to be painted:
I had to paint the ceiling and I was just glad they are only 6ft tall. I was able to reach them without a ladder. yay. I am not one for heights! When the ceiling was dry I had to tape off all the corners, woodwork, windows and doors.
Yes, I finger painted… LOL! ok… not on purpose. I had just dipped my roller in the paint and then realized it was an old roller and it was rolling. So I had to take off the painted roller and I had paint all over my fingers. Instead of wasting the beautiful blue paint I “finger painted” with it.
I got the corners painted and around the window then rolled the rest. All the while I was singing, “rolling, rolling, rolling, keep that paint a rolling”
Got the blue walls finished!
Next I had to tear off the tape so I could paint the pink and then very CAREFULLY take a paint brush and paint the corners pink without painting on the blue. It was hard, and I was very surprised with how straight of a line I got them together!
Here is my room completely finished…
There you have it! I love it. I can’t wait to go shopping and get my bed set for it and rug and everything. ![]()
So there you have it all those who were dying to see my room. What do ya think?
Well I am so enjoying my Sabbath today. It is a much needed day of rest. *keels over* We still have so much to do to finish the house. Please pray that we can finish by Tuesday!
I will share my staining projects soon I hope! I got some pics of all the doors I did, and I need to get some pics of the window trim I am doing now.
I have found a new love… POWER TOOLS!
hehe! I can see why guys really like them! I have been using a miter saw for the window trim and its pretty awesome. The power drill, sander, and other tools are pretty cool too! ![]()
alrighty… hope you enjoyed seeing my redecorating project. I love my room and wish I had more time to spend in it! lol!
Please be sure to check out this: Don’t Tear Me Down! We cannot forget or let our remembrances torn down!
extremely happy, but extremely worn out!

Wow girl – I am so amazed at what you have done and the transformation of your room – great colours and very you.
You guys have no doubt done more in one week than DH and I have done in a few weeks if not a couple of months. You have truly put me to shame – I am going to get cracking next week as I need to tape the walls in the lounge and repaint the edges as this has not been done properly.
We also need to get some wood stain for the dining room floor. I also want to paint the coving and cupboard doors in the kitchen. I also need to wash all the tiles down properly in the kitchen and get a curtain up at the back door.
I also need to re-paint the book case as this is filthy thanks to Patch, bless him. I also want to re-paint the tv cabinet but this needs to be sanded down first.
The tasks after this are to get some paint for the bedroom and I may choose white or cream for this as then any colours will go with the room. After this I need to finish painting the window sill and airing cupboard doors in the office.
We do need to get some monies together for materials so with wanting to get all this done, it may take about a couple of weeks but after what you have done, I need to really crack on.
I am so amazed at what you have done and a very well done
Hugs

oh yes! a lot a lot of stuff we have been doing!
Besides painting my room, we painted 4 other bedrooms, 2 bathroom, 2 living rooms, and have another bedroom and the parlor to paint. Along with flooring to put in, 2 wood floors to sand, stain, and polyurethane, and then furniture to move!
I think there is more, but I can’t remember what else!
hope you get all your projects finished! I hope we can get all ours done by tuesday! :O
HUGS!

Nice job on the room. Now could you come over and paint the walls in my apartment? Just kidding. You do a fair better job then I ever could handling that paint roller. I usually get more paint on me then on the walls. Not to mention the splatter on the rugs and floor. To give you an idea of how bad I am at painting. When I was younger, everyone could tell which coloring book was mine because mine had all the crayon marks OUTSIDE the lines. I am sure you colored within the lines in yours.
HEHHE
Great job!

I have that now, it’s called a mess
I would pull my hair out (if I had any being a bald eagle and all) if I had to try to paint two different colors on adjacent walls. I do not have the patience for that. Notice my above comment with the color book outside the lines. See I come by it naturally.
I was born with it

Nice, you did a beautiful job.
I was just uh, wondering…don’t you think the shirt you were wearing is kinda immodest? No offense meant, honestly.
Btw, I love how you do your messy bun!
How do you do that? What video did you follow? If you don’t want to give me the exact link could you at least give some hints as to how to find it on like, say, google?

My mom and dad surprised me with a newly painted room after I was gone all summer, it was such a fun surprise.
Well, nicely done. Enjoy your new space.
