I’m having fun picking out different outfits everyday for Kristin’s Feelin’ Feminine’s “7 Days in a Dress”! Its been really neat to go through my closet and mix and match my outfits up.
I didn’t get to wear my outfit all day tho, because I have been finishing staining the French doors, and then polyurethaning the oak doors. I didn’t have to end up staining then a second time, but do have to polyurethane them all twice, which that is easier than staining anyway. The french doors have been really tedious to stain because they have 15 little windows that I have to stain around on each side of each door which comes out to 60 little window panes to stain and not overlap the stain on! bleh… but y’all care more about the Challenge than my staining adventures, soo…
Today’s outfit is comfy and fun. Its been really warm today, so I wanted some cool and pretty.
I don’t normally wear this shirt cause I’m not a fan of the color green unless its the grass or leaves on the Maple trees.
but this shirt is really cool and I needed to stay cool today.
That skirt was the one I first ordered when we decided to go all skirts back in 2006! Its my old trusty jean skirt and its really faded and starting to get really worn in places. I actually bought some denim dye to stain it with, but we’ll see if I actually ever get to do it! ![]()
And those are the 2in flip flops I Twittered and Facebooked that I played frisbee in… oh yeah!
and do go with being cool… here is how I put my hair up.
I would challenge all my readers… well excluding the guys, if I have any, to take part in wearing skirts all week long. It really is fun to be feminine!
I can’t wait to mix and match and photograph my outfits this week and see all yours too!
Guess who’s feelin’ feminine,

Very cute and comfy might I say!! I was not in “dress” as Tuesday and Thursdays are our alloted coverall days because we spend alot of time outdoors around the homestead which right now is being over run by tall grass(due to all that crazy wet weather we had in weeks past)…and with tall grass comes ticks… and I for one am not into ticks.. ha ha although they seem to be attacking my son than that of my daughter and I … Anyhoot enough of my coverall days… thanks for sharing your feminine dress these past couple of days they have been uplifting as my daughter and I move toward wearing skirts and dress more often through the week our selves

Today I was wearing a purple 3/4 sleeve top with beading on the front and a short (below the knee) khaki pleated skirt… until my fever broke and I was so sweaty that I had to change. Now I’m wearing pink floral jammies! LOL! (and am actually feeling a lot better! )

Very cute! I like your barrette…I need more of those. So easy-peasy and yet it looks like a million bucks. I agree with your sister…your hair looks very nice all pulled up.

It’s been fun taking photos for you… if only I could remember I was doing the Challenge too, and get some photos of me. Sigh. I never was good about posting those kinds of things.
But its been fun taking them of you.
Love you,
Rachel

This is really neat. I was meaning to do it this week but I can’t find my camera…man…anyway, I love your outfit! Today I wore my fave jean skirt and my new “Forget Love, I’d rather fall in Chocolate” t-shirt a friend got me for my birthday. (Of course, as we both pointed out to each other, the saying on the shirt is not literal–I would much rather fall in love than in chocolate!
) But it’s a fun shirt and I love it because a) it’s brown with pink letters, my fave color combination and b) I love chocolate.

Great pictures!! Spanish now, huh? Cool. What’s next on the list when you’ve gotten Spanish down?
I like the color green and it looks really nice on you. You should wear it more often!
I used to make those barettes, they’re really easy, you just have to have the right tools!
Blessings!
