After a long day on Thursday that included running to town to take Grammy to the Salon, and dropping a can of tomatoes on my foot, which is was swollen and bruised and hurting, I went up to my bed that night to fall into slumber and look what I found:
HAHA! Hannah left me a Magna-Doodle note! In case you can’t read it, it says:
“Amanda Dawn, what’s that flower you got on? Is it a faded rose of days gone by?”
Yeah… hardee har har! There is a running joke in my home because of my middle name… Dawn and the song Delta Dawn. The chorus to the song goes:
Delta Dawn, what’s that flower you have on
Could it be a faded rose from days gone by
And did I hear you say he was a-meeting you here today
To take you to his mansion in the sky
So my familia changes Delta to Amanda and sings it to me. They think its funny because I don’t like my middle name, so they sing that song. Yeah its hilarious, right? I’m thinking… no.
And no… don’t start calling me Amanda Dawn… please!
I think I will start wearing a rose tho. LOL!
Yes, there really is no point to this, only I thought it was cute that Hannah left me a Magnadoodle note to bring a smile on my face before I headed to bed!
Love, Prayers and Blessings,

I think that is a cute name. That is sweet that Hannah left you a Magnadoodle note before you went to bed. If one of my brothers done that, that would also bring a smile to my face.

I happen to like your name, thank you very much, Beloved. Amanda – not Manda, I must say. Amanda is a very pretty name, and I also love the dawn, and it does suit you.
You just aren’t Manda to me.
But, hey, you’re the one who let the cat out of the bag Amanda Dawn.
Love, Mom

That is so sweet Rose! Since Hannah learned to write, she leaves cute little notes all over too. I keep finding ones to her Daddy, and I have several of them stuck in a keepsake box.
She’s a sweetie!
Love the name, Velvet Rose. Wow… beautiful.

Delta Dawn. That was one of my Mom’s (your Great Grandmother) favorite songs. I can hear her piano playing now. Love.:.) I’m sorry you didn’t know her.
Ask Grandma Judi to tell you about the great times growing up with the whole family on Sunday afternoons. We either had a sing-a-long with Piano, Accordion, and Violin, or Volleyball at Aunt Loretta’s.
